The Grand Union canal at Warwick showed once again why it is the LACC’s most prolific stretch of water. Thirty-two anglers fishing round 3 of the pairs league caught 169 fish between them.
Ten teams finished with more than 300cm and 7 teams returned more than 400cm.
Winners on the day were No Wasps Here, Steve Wilson and Derek Holmes, with 22 fish for a total of 695cm.
Brummies, the father and son team of Rob and Mike Busby, took second with 20 fish for 571cm. Rob also caught the biggest perch of the day at 34cm to net five bonus points.
Third was Team North West of Balint Koder and Brachna Gyorgy with 17 fish for 548cm.
Mike McGuire of Canalmasters took the bonus points for the biggest zander of the day at 65cm.
