The full list of remaining events for 2018/19 is:

  • Saturday, October 20 – Individual Championship (matchplay qualifier)
  • Saturday, November 10  – Pairs League, Radford
  • Sunday, November 25 – Predator Pairs (open match)
  • Sunday, December 16 – Christmas Bash
  • Saturday, February 16 – Pairs League and AGM, Knowle

Events are for members only with the exception of the Predator Pairs. Watch out for detailed announcements about each event.


Friendly Cup

The Friendly Cup is a “Ryder Cup Style” match held between the Lure Anglers Canal Club and The Lure Anglers Society each year. The very first match was held in 2016 and was won by the LACC. This years match will be held on:

Friendly Cup  – April 22nd – Warwick Stretch

The Cup was Won Once again by the LACC !

Singles Championship

This year we will hold the first ever LACC Individual Championship which will also act as the qualifying tournament for this years Matchplay Championship.
The match will be held on October 8th at our Warwick stretch and is only open to members of the LACC.
The member who wins the event will be crowned LACC Individual Champion for 2017/18 Season.
The top 16 competitors will then all be eligible to enter this years Matchplay Championship which was such a success last year.

LACC Specimen Challenge
This is a brand new pairs event where teams will meet up at a central point and then will have the freedom to fish on all LACC waters. The winning team will be the team who catch the:
Winners: Best combined length of two zander and two perch
Individual trophies will also be awarded for longest zander and longest perch.
Please note that this event is only for members of the LACC

Matchplay Championship

A huge success in it’s first year the Matchplay Champs is back ! As we have to have a starting number of 16 anglers, the LACC Individual Championship will act as a qualifier for this tournament, with the top 16 anglers qualifying. The format of the matchplay is a singles competition which will be run in a round by round FA Cup Style knockout Format. Where anglers are paired in a “televised” draw and then have a month to fish their match.

All entrants will be vying to win the title of LACC Matchplay Champion, The “Lalique Perch” Trophy and the Prize pot.
