Team No Name win round 4 and top the pairs league

Fourteen teams chose the pouring rain and driving winds of the Grand Union Canal towpath at Radford over the rugby world cup final today. It was a good choice (honest) as the day saw a closely fought contest and all but one team catching fish.

Team No Name of Vidar Thomassen and Alan Brown ran out winners with 397cm made up of 8 perch and 5 zander. Second were Realistic Shad of Stephen Coldicott and Greg Bafia with 352cm that included 3 zander, 6 perch and a pike. Third were No Wasps Here of Steve Wilson and Derek Holmes with 325cm made up of 10 perch and 3 zander.

Biggest zander of 46cm was caught by Paul Claydon and largest perch of 34cm was caught by Tom Andrews.

There’s only one round left to fish, and this year’s title is still up for grabs. Team No Name have a narrow lead at the top of the league followed by No Wasps Here and Realistic Shad.
